Malwarebytes now sports a new user interface. Malwarebytes claims their new Kanata Engine “provides superior malware detection for Zero Hour threats in particular while improving performance for faster scans”. You can undo this by visiting the Security tab in Malwarebytes Settings: Click on cogwheel, select Security >Windows Security Center, disable “Always register Malwarebytes in Windows Security Center”. Malwarebytes 4.0.4 Premium now registers as primary security program in Windows Security Center to replace Windows Defender or third-party antivirus you’ve installed on Windows. The new version with redesigned UI comes with the “Malwarebytes Kanata” engine to protect users against Zero-hour threats. After testing a few betas, Malwarebytes Corp has released the stable version of Malwarebytes 4.0 for Windows and is available for download.
